MATT BISHOP | Employee Spotlight: JULY 2019
Kramer Engineers has mentored aspiring engineers for a number of years. However, this summer’s intern has raised the bar. And although we’d prefer to keep him our little secret, we have to give praise when it is due. So, we are shining this year’s intern spotlight on Matthew Bishop.

Matt Bishop is a junior at The Ohio State University, majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in Leadership Studies; and managing to do both while keeping a 3.9 GPA. But that is just the beginning. He is involved in College Mentors for Kids, Best Buddies, Engineers Without Borders, TAMID, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity on campus, and will be joining the Formula SAE engineering team this fall. #overachiever.
In his “free time” Matt loves wake boarding, watching and playing sports. He is currently training for a triathlon that he will be participating in this month, and is a self-proclaimed super fan of Ohio State University football who “hasn’t missed a game since 2006”.
So, you could probably guess that someone with this kind of drive would also be a beast professionally, and you would be right. Since joining Kramer Engineers at the end of May, Matt has provided CAD drafting and design support for the firm. In a few short weeks he has not only assisted with engineering work out in the field, but has put the finishing touches on construction documents for 23 projects to date; ranging from retail and restaurant systems, to large scale institutional designs.
That being said, the entire staff here at Kramer Engineers is going to miss Matt Bishop when he heads back to school this fall.
