EXPRESS SCRIPTS DUBLIN RENOVATION UNDERWAY

Express Scripts Dublin renovation is underway. Kramer Engineers’ Brett Kramer was the lead designer for the Express Scripts (ESI) Dublin, OH call center renovation. Although the improvements span the whole facility, a couple of the key focuses are electrical and HVAC upgrades. As well as a bathroom remodel.
What ESI Does
Express Scripts is a prescription benefit plan provider; as well as a brick and mortar and mail order pharmacy. Because they are a one stop shop, their facilities are designed to their specialties. For instance, the compounding labs are where prescriptions are made. They are equipped with clean rooms and packaging lines. While the warehouse and distribution centers are geared for prescription storage and shipping.
Experience with Prior ESI Renovation
The Dublin Center is not the first Express Scripts project Brett has designed. It comes on the heels of a major remodel of the ESI Grove City distribution facility. That project involved the conversion of a warehouse to create a new pharmaceutical packaging plant. The building also housed their administrative offices and a distribution center.
HVAC Was Key
Because of the heat produced by the equipment in the IT, UPS and IDF rooms at Grove City, HVAC design was critical. So, if the temperature rose above a certain set point, more cool air was needed. The solution was to design a backup system draw cool air from the adjoining warehouse.
