BUS GARAGE IS NOW IN FRAMING

The Design Build Team

Kramer Engineers, BDT Architects and Brenmar Construction are the design-build team for a new 7,000 SF bus maintenance garage.  The new facility is for the Alexander Local School District in Albany Ohio. Although the structure is made up of two large maintenance bays and an exterior oil changing station; the interior will also include offices and warehouse space. The bus garage, which is now in framing, is expected to be finished in September.

The Interior Systems

KE’s lead engineer Phil Griffith, designed the systems from the ground up; building electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning. But these are just the standard services. Because this was a full-service garage, specialty systems like a bus wash, vehicle lifts and repair equipment were also designed.

Long History of Partnership

Brenmar Construction, BDT Architects and Kramer Engineers all have a long resume of past projects. Over the past 10 years, Brenmar and Kramer have partnered on a dozen projects; many of them in the commercial food industry.  The team has designed and renovated systems for such household names as Marzetti, General Mills and Savory Foods.

But in that same time frame, BDT and Kramer Engineers have logged over a hundred projects. The span of projects range from restaurant renovations to full scale building additions. However, the majority of the team’s projects have been medical facilities.
